Show/Hide Menu Parts

We've added granular control over menu visibility, allowing you to show or hide individual menus, sections, and dishes from your public menu.

What's New

You can now control the visibility of any part of your menu - entire menus, specific sections, or individual dishes. Hidden items remain in your admin panel but won't appear on your public menu, giving you complete control over what customers see.

How It Works

Each menu, section, and dish now has a visibility toggle. When hidden, items appear grayed out in your admin panel and are automatically filtered from your public menu. This works independently - hiding a menu doesn't affect its sections and dishes, and hiding a section doesn't affect its dishes.

How to Use It

Here are some practical ways to use the show/hide feature:

Seasonal Menu Management

Hide seasonal items when they're out of season, then quickly show them again when they're back in stock. Perfect for holiday specials, summer drinks, or winter comfort foods.

Daily Specials

Create a "Daily Specials" section and hide/show individual dishes based on availability. When a special runs out, simply hide it until the next day's specials are ready.

Menu Testing

Test new dishes by adding them to your menu but keeping them hidden until you're ready to launch. Perfect for finalizing recipes or training staff on new items.

Event Menus

Create special event menus (like private parties or catering) and hide them when not needed. Show them only during the event, then hide them again afterward.

Getting Started

To hide a menu, section, or dish, simply click the toggle switch next to it in your admin panel. Hidden items will appear grayed out in your admin view and won't be visible to customers on your public menu. You can toggle visibility at any time without losing your content.

Hidden items are stored in your database but filtered from public views. This ensures your content is never lost and can be easily restored by toggling visibility back on.
